Ernest Hemingway, Charlie Chaplin, Orson Welles, Truman Capote where mixing with the Venetian aristocracy in the bar founded by Giuseppe Cipriani with money returned to him with an interest from the American wealthy traveller Harry Pickering. Even if you don’t want to eat, you must sit down and order a Bellini. Invented by Mr Giuseppe Cipriani it was inspired by the painter Giovanni Bellini and his use of the colour pink.
