Classic Swedish restaurant that was inspired by the big Parisian brasseries when it opened 50-something years ago. They’re focusing on Swedish food and shellfish platters. The owner is an Opera enthusiast and every Saturday around 8pm an opera singer would stand up and sing a couple of songs.

The original restaurant was opened in the late 1800’s but the current version, run by Krögarfar Lennart, has been so since 1969. Hailed by most as a quintessential Stockholm must, serving some of the best seafood and accompanied by live opera on Saturdays for 15 minutes starting at 8.30pm. The atmosphere is bohemian/elegant, and if you don’t feel like a whole meal you can sit at the bar counter to enjoy a glass of wine and some oysters.
