THE WOLSELEY LONDON

160 Piccadilly, St. James's, London W1J 9EB, United Kingdom
An institution especially for breakfast or coffee. The late Lucian Freud's favorite.

Once upon a time, in 1921 to be precise, Wolseley Motors Limited built this space to display its luxury cars. They went bankrupt pretty soon, and after a stint as a bank it become a restaurant in 2003 and immediately hit the classic status. Celebrities have been dining and drinking here at all hours of days and nights and there is a feeling of grandeur and a buzzy atmosphere. The food is excellent and so is the drink list. Fun for any occasion.
