TOSCA CAFE SAN FRANCISCO

242 Columbus Ave, San Francisco CA 94133, United States
It's so beautiful here. The margaritas are so perfect. The food is out of this world. I used to drink here back in the day when it was just a bar. Now it's the first place I eat when I come to town. Becoming a restaurant, it lost zero of its charm. In fact, it gained some. My SF favorite.

At first locals were suspicious about the change. Tosca was once upon a time a neighbourhood bar/cafe with a back room which hosted rockstars, writers, actors and even the mayor of San Francisco on several occasion and until very, very late at night. One of those places where you can just be, no rules apply. It has now been rescued (after an eviction notice) by April Bloomfield and Ken Friedman of Manhattan’s Spotted Pig. The interior has been kept the same and now you can eat in addition to drinking. Luxurious Italian food served in a room steeped in history.
