KOTARO TOKYO

Mikasa Bldg. 1F, 28-2 Sakuragaokacho, Shibuya, Tokyo 150-0031, Japan
An ambitious Izakaya serving Classical Japanese food at its best. You also have to try their premium sake, chosen carefully to match the food.

Chef Kotaro Hayashi opened his restaurant at the worse of times: after the big earthquake in 2011. Despite the bad timing, he persevered and it paid off. It is so popular that you will need between a month and a week in advance for a reservation. A little hidden place, frequented by a young crowd that comes for the little twist on traditional dishes and the excellent selection of sake.
