The ground floor pub is pleasantly cosy, scruffy and filled with locals. The upstairs restaurant has been goIng strong for 20 years, having a make over by Tom Conran in 2015. It has red leather banquettes, a matching colourful floor and quirky modern art. Oysters, seafood and Guiness are the specialities. A perfect place to snuggle up on a cold winters evening.

It is almost impossible these days to find a London pub which feels like a local, old, fun pub but that also serves really good food. Downstairs you can maybe watch a football match and maybe catch a gig or stumble upon a party whilst upstairs you can seat at the dining room and enjoy the great British menu. Don’t forget to get a Guinness. A real gem of Notting Hill.
