OOTOYA NEW YORK

8 W 18th St, New York NY 10011, United States
When I feel like traditional Japanese food I always go here. I like to sit on the counter to watch the chef cook the yakitori. I usually order the marinated Mackerel with the set menu and I change the rice to brown rice and add HIJIKI Seaweed and I love to drink the Nigori Zake or the Yuzu Shu.

This restaurant is very popular with Japanese expats that are missing some good and simple food from the homeland. In true Japanese style everything is cooked to perfection and served with care on beautiful lacquerware. Just in case you prefer to stick to what you know they have some sushi and noodles in the dinner menu.
